Employers to be targetted with coporate wrap

Interesting to see Friends Provident in the news for something other than the takeover by Resolution (which has been given the thumbs-up over the last 24 hours).
Professional Pensions reports that the insurer is launching a corporate wrap directly aimed at employers, which will be rolled out during 2010.
It’s an interesting concept and the article quotes Friends Provident’s UK managing director Simon Clamp as saying: "Benefit consultants and employers are redefining their approach to corporate benefits in the work place - recognising that the future is much more than simply providing pension products."
It’s a clever idea, and I think FP may just have timed this right to coincide with the recovery phase of the economic cycle. See:
