The best article over the Bank Holiday weekend was penned by Rachel Vahey, Aegon’s head of pensions development. It is a succinct round-up of the effects on pensions and retirement planning that were announced in the recent budget. What is particularly relevant is her warning that many people on salaries of much less than £150,000 might be caught out by the proposed tax relief restriction on pension contributions.
