Pension trustees and advisers: in the driving seat or in the line of fire? 
 
The Telegraph produced an excellent article aimed at pension scheme trustees and their advisers. It considers the position and plight that both face where pension fund values have suffered a significant reduction, as did most during 2008.
 
It looks at the potential conversations between trustees and their advisers, including actuaries and investment consultants, at their next scheduled meeting. Of course, the sponsoring employer’s representative would also have an input and in the current economic crisis, with redundancies and spending cut-backs, this is likely to be a particularly painful time to ask for more money to shore up rising deficits.
