As many people have moved into property as a vehicle retirement planning, a slump in house prices is most affecting those property investors who are closest to retirement age. Prospective retirees and existing pensioners who are planning to downsize now will be the most obvious losers along with those that were immediately planning to use Equity Release to help fund their retirement.
 
So, this article just might bring a positive aspect to that dark grey cloud hanging over the property marketplace. Just imagine though if the pwers that be could do something as dramatic for pensions such as grasping the nettle and cancelling the requirement to buy an annuity at age 75. Wouldn’t that just kick-start the pensions arena? See:
