One of the jobs that I enjoy most is managing risk assessment projects for employers that provide pensions for employees. I always find them amongst the most fascinating of assignments. This is particularly true when involved with projects to consider ways to reduce the risks and costs associated with defined benefit schemes. It's a busy area at the moment.
 
So I was interested to read the following couple of articles. I particularly liked the ‘list of ten benefit changes…’ from Anne-Marie Winton, partner at lawyers Nabarro whose article looks at ways to share risk ‘…but without going as far as ceasing accrual. See:
