Hi. I have worked for the same company for 25 years. For 19 of those years I have been working part-time, the lowest hours per week were 18.5 and the highest is currently 30 and various changes in between. The company has calculated my service to be 19 years and used my current, part time salary to calculate my pension. I could understand the pro-rated service if I was now full-time, but I think my length of service should be pro-rated against my current hours (30 per week) rather than against full time hours as that is the current salary. I hope I've expalined myself clearly.

This pension calculation will be the last as the final salary pension is going to be frozen and a new DC scheme introdcued going forward.

Thanks
