I am in the process of transferring a pension from my ex-employer to my current employer pension scheme.

The value of my pension fund is £44k but I've received a letter which says there are insufficient assets to transfer the full amount to my current pension and the shortfall is £30k.

My ex employer is still trading.

What does this mean?  Have I lost £30k of my pension pot?
